Didsbury Golf Club and Cheshire star Jack Brooks showed his class in the World Ranking Cheshire Cat competition which was played over 72 holes over two days at Stockport and Wilmslow Golf Clubs.
The first day at Stockport was played over 36 holes for the Stockport Salver, which was the first leg of the Cheshire Cat, and top players from across the region were in a quality field. Jack posted 75 and 72 to finish in 31st place some nine shots behind the leader Chris Chilton (High Legh Park).
Next day it was over to Wilmslow and Jack was in consistent form with rounds of 70 and 74 to finish in joint third place behind leader Rhys Nevin-Wharton (Sandiway), who finished on 141 to win the Wilmslow Crow trophy.
The overall Cheshire Cat winner was Chris Chilton on 282, with Jack getting a top ten finish with his score of 291.
Jack (pictured in action at Wilmslow) is now hoping to be available to play for the Didsbury Dunham Forest Trophy team for their third round match at Denton.
