Dress Code

Didsbury Golf Club offers all Members, guests and all visitors a warm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere both on the course and in the clubhouse. To maintain our high quality golfing experience we request that all golfers and guests adhere to our basic defined dress code on and around the course and club house.

On the Golf Course

Jeans, tracksuits, tracksuit bottoms, combat trousers/shorts, cargo trousers /shorts, athletic shorts and collarless /sleeveless  T-shirts are not permitted. Shorts must be tailored ( no 'outside leg' side pockets/ zips /tassels/ties) and to around knee length. Socks worn with shorts should be pale in colour ( not black/grey/dark blue), and preferably white sports socks.
Shirts must be tucked inside trousers and trousers must not be tucked inside socks.
Shoes must be spiked, moulded or pimple-soled golf shoes – trainers are not permitted . Golf caps must be worn in the appropriate manner and not back to front.

In and around the Clubhouse and Patio Area

Smart casual dress is required at all times, with the exception of particular functions when a specified dress code may be applied.

Tracksuits, tracksuit bottoms, combat trousers/shorts, cargo trousers/shorts, athletic shorts, collarless/sleeveless T-shirts, trainers, hiking boots and flip-flops are not permitted.

Shorts may be worn in the Clubhouse, but not in the dining area after 7.30pm.

Shoes must be worn in the clubhouse at all times, even just post-golf when ordering drinks or using the touchscreen.  Sandals may be worn provided they are accompanied by socks.

Shirts must be tucked inside trousers, except on those specific social occasions when permitted by the club.  

Jeans must only be worn on those specific social occasions when permitted by the Club, but it is also acceptable to wear smart jeans for the Friday evening competition registration.  In all such circumstances ripped jeans, or trousers worn exposing flesh or underwear are not permitted.

Whilst we encourage players to change after their round of golf, clean golf attire will be accepted in the lounges . However, clothing bearing obvious signs of rain, mud or heavy perspiration must not be worn in the clubhouse under any circumstances.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones must be kept in ‘silent’ mode on both the  Course and Club premises.

The use of mobile phones for making or receiving calls /texts/social media on the golf course is  not permitted, except in the event of an emergency on the course.

Any phone calls received i n the clubhouse must be answered in ei ther t he foyer area , or on the patio area outside the clubhouse. Texting/social media is permitted in the clubhouse, in ‘silent’ mode only.
