Seniors Open 2020 Results

Tough windy conditions greeted competitors on Monday 6th July at Didsbury Golf Club. The early starters showed that scoring seemed tough with 38 leading the way for a while. The afternoon ended in glorious sunshine and the scores steadily improved with this.

We hope you all enjoyed the golf course, even if most of the holes seemed to be into the wind! It was great to see golfers using the bar afterwards and respected social distancing measures that were put in place. Now for the scoring:

• 1st Place: 42 points - David Cain (Wychwood Park GC) & Simon Thurlwell (Vale Royal Abbey GC)
• 2nd Place: 41 points - Andrew Taylor (Withington GC) & Christopher Brader (Northenden GC)
• 3rd Place: 39 points (CPO) - John Kirk & Roy Kirk (both Didsbury GC)
• 4th Place: 39 points (CPO) - Phillip Bennett & Howard Lees (both Saddleworth GC)
• 5th Place: 38 points (CPO) - Brian Baker (Wortley GC) & Howard Baker (Prestbury GC)
• 6th Place: 38 points (CPO) - Colin Hartley & Kevin Pringle (both Bramall Park GC)

Also on 38 points (no prize): Ewan McCray (Bramall Park GC) & Jonathan Worley (Didsbury GC), Steve Clough (Bramhall GC) & Mike Wardrop (Bramall Park GC)

All prize vouchers for 1st-6th can be collected from the Professional Shop and have a 1 year expiry date from the date of the competition.
