SOME potential new members and people new to golf were given a typically warm and friendly Didsbury Golf Club welcome on an Introductory Day, organised by Adele McNeillie, by Captain Billy Wells, Lady Captain Pat Coulburn, club officials and members.
They were able to enjoy viewing the top class practice facilities, clubhouse the professional’s shop and then enjoy playing on the course accompanied by members.
Refreshments were also provided on the sunny patio with Adele and other members able to present goodie bags and give answers to any questions from the visitors about their splendid and historic club
One of the visitors Adam Redmond, an impressive six fee five inches tall, showed his potential as he hit his eight-iron tee shot on the 170-yard first hole over the back of the green.
Adele said: “ There was a great turn out of members supporting the day, which was helped by superb weather and a course in good condition.
“I would like to thank Steve Bluck for all of his help and support in making this an excellent day that we will look to do again.”
